Speech Practice in the Postmodern Cultural and Linguistic Space of Mass Media

The purpose of the article is to find out the peculiarities of the transformation of speech postmodern practices of the media. The research methodology is a set of scientific methods that allowed to identify the essence of the mass media speech culture, in particular, a discursive method, directed to the cultural comprehension of media communication contexts, as well as a systematic approach that involves objectivity, comprehensiveness in studying the research object. The scientific novelty is to find out the peculiarities of the transformation of speech culture in the cultural language mass media. We are drawing our focus towards the desire of modern media to the priority formation of the picture of the world due to not just messaging (facts, events, phenomena of being translated into the journalism), and it is the formation of social reality through a conscious (biased) selection, emphasizing and interpretation of empirical reality. The article accented that in a situation where information becomes one of the central values in people’s lives, speech culture is continuously subjected to various revisions and reconstruction from the language of mass communication. Conclusions. One of the significant laws of development and functioning of language is a piece of information and communicative tradition that defines the language changes, legitimizing them, gives the movement of a linguistic system of a particular direction, provides a historical connection of past and new language forms, is an effective means of broadcasting language experience. It is emphasized that information and communicative syncretism of speech culture and mass communication forms a cultural and linguistic space of mass media, heterogeneous in its filling but saturated with intellectual searches expressed in speech forms. The media is an attractor of mass media culture.
