DITADURA, HISTÓRIA E ESQUECIMENTO NO BRASIL

This work problematizes contemporary discourses on dictatorship in Brazil. It seeks to analyze how the past is elaborated, concealing traumatic events for the most diverse reasons. Certain speeches have been consolidated affirming that it is "wrong" to speak of dictatorship due to the "revanchist" discourses that would be trying to open a closed wound again. Through the “democratic transition” these wounds would have been closed and, more than that, the whole past would have been overcome. However, a multiplicity of speeches and memories persist across society today
