Synthesis, Structure and Properties of Bimetallic Manganese(II,III) and Dioxouranium(vI) Complexes derived from Bis(2-hydroxy1-naphthaldehyde )oxaloy ldihydrazone

Department of Chemistry, Tripura University, Agartala-799 004 Manuscript received 21 May 1997, revised 19 November 1997, accepted 21 November 1997 The bimetallic manganese(II,III) and dioxouranium(vi) complexes [Mn4(napoxhH2)2(CH3COO)4].4H2O, [Mn4(napoxlh)2(H2O)8].4H2O, K4[Mn4(napoxlh)2F6(H2O)2L2H2O [UO2(H2O)4]2[Mn4(napoxlh)2(CH3COO)4].4H2O and K4[(UO2)Mn3(napoxlh)2F6(H2O)2] have been synthesized from his(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde)oxaloyldihydrazone (napoxlhH4). The complexes have been characterized by physi­cal and spectral data. Ir spectral data indicate that the dihydrazone coordinates to the metal centres in keto as well as enol forms in the anti-cis-configuration in all of these complexes
