Relative abundance of putative AMP genes reveal AMP profile diversity across nematode clades and lifestyles.

Nematode species (109 nematode species; 134 genomes) are organised by clade [47–48] and superfamily designation (NCBI taxonomy browser; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/taxonomy). Relative abundance was calculated as a percentage of putative AMP genes relative to total protein coding genes per genome. BUSCO complete scores were obtained from WormBase ParaSite V14 [https://parasite.wormbase.org/index.html;] [34]. ^ indicates a genome with <50 BUSCO complete score. Asterisk indicates multiple genome assemblies were used.
