Alberto Postigliola and Domenico Felice : Montesquieu's bibliographical fortunes in France and Italy, 1789-1815. This article gives the results of an investigation into Montesquieu's bibliography in Italy during the Revolution and the Napoleonic period, conducted in the main Italian and in some French and British libraries (about fifty in all) and taking account of editions in the original language. We have found hitherto unknown editions and translations and have identified «phantom » editions.
