La population de Toulouse de 1982 à 1990 : quelques résultats du recensement

The population of Toulouse from 1982 to 1990. The population of Toulouse in its municipal area increased by 3,1 % since 1982 and reaches the number of 358 688 inhabitants in 1990. This increase is not evenly distributed all over the town : the central core and its surroundings are decreasing when the peripheral areas are increasing. A large proportion of foreign population is concentrated in southern and south-western peripheral districts and is accommodated in municipal housing estates. Recent trends and choices make it quite clear that the formerly growth designs proposed for the previously said Mirail ZUP now are obsolete.The population of Toulouse from 1982 to 1990. Entre 1982 y 1990, la población de Toulouse ha aumentado de 3,1 °/o, alcanzando 358 688 habitantes. En realidad, este aumento sólo afecta la zona externa del término municipal, mientras el conjunto de los barrios centrales sigue perdiendo habitantes. El análisis, barrio por barrio, de los datos disponibles pone de manifiesto une fuerte concentración de población extranjera en algunos sectores del sur y del suroeste en los que ocupa parte de los HLM (casas baratas) municipales, lo cual deja pensar que el crecimiento de la ex ZUP (Zona de Urbanización Prioritaria) del Mirail no ha de alcanzar los objetivos previstos.Coppolani Jean.
