This paper focuses on the judiciary dispositions of the lex Rupilia reported by Cicero in his speech against Verres (II Verr. 2.30-34). These dispositions provide a clear overview of the procedures applied in the different categories of litigations which could arise in the province of Sicily during the republican period. The study tries to confront this construction to the concrete cases exposed in the following paragraphs of the speech and, above all, to a few scattered regulations known in the eastern provinces of the Roman empire. At the same time, the author wonders if the lex Rupilia was a special regime for Sicily or reflected the ordinary administration of justice in the Roman provinces.Cet article revient sur les clauses judiciaires...
