Tourisme et contraintes climatiques : l'exemple irlandais (Tourism and climatic constraints : the example of Ireland)

Abstract. - Climate is considered as an element of the local economical infrastructure. The stranger tourist looks for an acceptable weather probability corrected with the year by year variability. On the contrary, the Irish tourist office bases itself on the «bad weather» myth and tries to sell a daily climatic variability.Résumé. - Le climat est envisagé comme un élément de l'infrastructure économique régionale. Le touriste étranger cherche à avoir une probabilité de temps correct lié à la variabilité interannuelle. L'office du tourisme irlandais, au contraire s' appuyant sur le mythe d'un temps médiocre cherche à vendre «une variabilité quotidienne climatique».Marchand Jean-Pierre.
