In this work we analyze some of the letters that Federico García Lorca wrote from New York and Havana during his 1929 trip. This epistolary highlights not only the poet's scriptural projects but also allows us to reconstruct a particular image of the traveler. Our hypothesis is that García Lorca figures himself in his American letters as a child and from that position of enunciation builds his story about the experience of the trip.
