PENGGUNAAN TEKNIK BIOVENTING FILTRASI SEDERHANA DENGAN PENAMBAHAN EM4 (EFFECTIVE MICROORGANISMS) TERHADAP PENGOLAHAN AIR LIMBAH PENATU: The Use of Simple Filtration Bioventing Technique with the Addition of EM4 (Effective Microorganisms) In the Treatment Of Laundry Wastewater

The Content of fat and oil in laundry wastewater can cause environmental problems. This study aims to determine the effect of giving EM4 in the preliminary test of simple filtration bioventing techniques on the treatment of laundry wastewater. The initial work step is to design a bioventing using an aerator and sand media, while simple filtration using gravel, coconut fiber, durian skin, zeolite stone and foam filter media. The research was conducted with two treatments in the bioventing tub, the first treatment of 2000 ml of laundry wastewater added 15 ml of EM4 and the second treatment of 2000 ml of laundry wastewater without adding EM4. On the sixth day, two treatments were added with Pistia stratiotes plants as phytoremediation and molly balloon fish as an indicator. Testing of pH, temperature, DO, color and odor parameters was carried out in the inlet and outlet basins. The results of the research on the provision of EM4 in the laundry wastewater treatment process have a significant effect on reducing the pH parameter value, very significantly reducing the temperature value and significantly increasing the DO value. The color parameter shows a change solid white to digestible white, while the odor parameter shows data from pungent to not pungent. Observation of molly balloon showed no dead fish. This study concludes that there is an effect of giving EM4 to the parameters values of pH, Temperature, DO, Color, and Odor in the preliminary test of simple filtration bioventing techniques and phytoremediation of laundry wastewater treatment. ABSTRAK Kandungan lemak dan minyak yang terdapat di air limbah penatu dapat menimbulkan gangguan lingkungan. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian EM4 pada uji pendahuluan teknik bioventing filtrasi sederhana terhadap pengolahan air limbah penatu. Langkah kerja awal membuat desain alat bioventing menggunakan media aerator dan pasir, alat filtrasi sederhana menggunakan media batu kerikil, serabut kelapa, kulit durian, batu zeolit dan busa filter. Penelitian dilakukan dua perlakuan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan kesatu 2000 ml air limbah penatu ditambahkan EM4 sebanyak 15 ml dan perlakuan kedua 2000 ml air limbah penatu tanpa ditambahkan EM4. Hari ke enam, kedua perlakuan tersebut ditambahkan tumbuhan Pistia stratiotes sebagai fitoremediasi dan ikan molly balon sebagai bioindikator. Pengujian parameter pH, Suhu, DO, warnadan bau dilakukan di bak inlet dan bak outlet. Hasil penelitian pemberian EM4 pada proses pengolahan air limbah penatu berpengaruh signifikan untuk menurunkan nilai parameter pH, sangat signifikan menurunkan nilai parameter suhu dan signifikan menaikkan nilai parameter DO. Parameter warna menunjukkan perubahan putih pekat menjadi putih jernih sedangkan parameter bau menunjukkan bau menyengat menjadi tidak menyengat. Pengamatan Ikan molly balon menunjukkan tidak ada ikan yang mati. Kesimpulan penelitian ada pengaruh pemberian EM4 terhadap perubahan nilai parameter pH, Suhu, DO, perubahan Warna, perubahan Bau pada uji pendahuluan teknik bioventing filtrasi sederhana terhadap pengolahan air limbah penatu
