Add to ORKGThis paper, mainly based on literary and epigraphical evidence, focuses on the presence of Cypriots in the Greek cities during the classical and hellenistic periods. In the first part are treated the different opinions of the ancient authors about the origin and character of the Cypriot population, a matter which has always been a controversial historiographical point.
