Question de temps

We will demonstrate that time just as aspect is not the primary data in the Japanese language. That is to say we can confirm that when we start by analysis of forms such as «-te iru» and «-ta(-u)», we cannot establish an univocal relationship between a marker and a value of a grammatical category (past, perfect, etc.). In other words, both time and aspect are structured as an afterthougnt. The temporal and aspectual values of an utterance are a product of a combination of various factors and markers «-te iru» and «ta» can be subdivided into markers within which marker «te» would mark the temporal occurrence of a predicatice relation (factual). We also see that modality plays an important role in the construction of linguistic time, largely founded on the modality of «certain /uncertain». That which characterizes the time in the Japanese language in comparison to language such as french, is the priority attributed to the factual time which though various procedures subsequently stabilize in its relation to the situation of utterance.Nous montrons que le temps tout comme l'aspect ne sont pas des données premières de la langue japonaise. En partant d'une analyse des formes en -te iru et -ta(/-u), on constate qu'on ne peut établir une relation univoque entre un marqueur et une valeur d'une catégorie grammaticale (passé, perfectif, etc.). Le temps et l'aspect se construisent. Les valeurs temporelle et aspectuelle d'un énoncé sont le produit de la combinaison de plusieurs facteurs et les marqueurs te iru et ta sont eux-mêmes décomposables en plusieurs marqueurs dont te qui marque l'occurrence temporelle de la relation predicative (factuel). On voit aussi que la modalité joue un rôle important dans la construction du temps linguistique, largement fondé sur la modalité du certain/non-certain. Ce qui caractérise le temps en japonais par rapport à une langue comme le français est la priorité donnée au temps événementiel, qui sera stabilisé par la suite, à travers diverses procédures, par son rattachement à la situation d'énonciation.Dhorne France.
