The ternary system Co-Ti-C has been investigated by means of quantitative electron probe microanalysis, X-ray diffraction and optical microscopy on equilibrated ternary alloys and on multiphase ternary diffusion couples. An isothermal cross section of the phase diagram at 1273 K was established. Diffusion paths observed in diffusion couples are shown in the isothermal cross section
