Genus Quesada Distant, 1905c Quesada Distant 1905c: 478. TYPE SPECIES. Cicada gigas Olivier 1790: 750. (Java). REMARKS. The genus was recently reassigned to Fidicinini with the synonymy of the Hyantiini (Marshall et al. 2018) and is assigned to the Guyalnina here. Only Quesada in the Bolivian Fidicinini has small timbal covers that recurve at least partially and do not cover the timbal. This is one of the largest if not the largest Bolivian cicada (body lengths greater than 30 mm).
