The grievance is that an employee should have been paid overtime for work on a scheduled day off. The Grievor, regularly scheduled for 10 shifts in a two week period, was mistakenly scheduled for only nine, giving her an extra day off. When the Employer discovered the error, the Grievor was asked if she wanted to make up the tenth shift on the scheduled day off. She did so and then asked for overtime pay for the day worked, citing the Collective Agreement for justification as it specifies overtime for work on a scheduled day off. The Agreement was ambiguous as to whether premium pay is necessary for voluntarily working an erroneously scheduled day off, rather than those employees who would be required to come in
