The Employment Survey of March 1978 : The Repercussions of Heavy Unemployment - The employment survey carried out by the INSEE in March of 1978 determined that there are, as last year, over a million unemployed (as defined by the ILO). This high level of unemployment has modified the pattern of the labor market : the number of individuals who have spontaneously declared that they are seeking work has increased significantly; there are fewer people leaving positions; job seeking has become more institutionalized, as greater use is made of the National Unemployment Bureau (ANPE).
