Foreign production - opportunity or risk for the production location Germany? Status, development and effects of relocating production in the manufacturing sector. The steadily falling number of industrial empolyees in Germany is often the result of German companies relocating production abroad. To counteract this, the creation of better general conditions is being propagated as a central approach in Germany. As shown by analyses of the ISI survey "Innovations in production", however, the motives for German companies to build production facilities abroad are varied.
