Letter Written by Anthony B. Marlowe to the Bryant College Service Club Dated December 23, 1943

Received the package of cigarettes in good condition and would like to say that they were a very welcome gift. I am still stationed at the Coast Guard Barracks on Prairie Ave., Providence, and hope that I will be here for some time. The Bryant Service Club is certainly doing a great job for the boys in the service, and I know that it is surely appreciated and will long be remembered. I am one of the older alumnus of Bryant College and I know that the old Bryant spirit is still there, stronger than ever. It may interest you to know that Mr. E. P. Jenison, who was connected with the College when I was going there, is a member of the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in East Greenwich. I understand he has one son in the Coast Guard and another son in the Army. Thanking you again for the gift and wishing the Bryant Service Club continued success in its splendid work.
