Add to ORKG[Transcription begins] Tuesday, July 13, 1943 UNITED STATES NAVY Dear Bryant: Just a short note of acknowledgement and thanks for the cigarettes received recently. My only excuse for not having expressed my thanks before is that I just haven’t had time. At present I am doing some instruction work at the Fighter Pilot Squadron in Pensacola. They call us the A.E.A. – Americans Exiled in Alabama, the only consolation being that we are flying – and a great deal too. Shortly I expect- to be out in the fleet with some of my classmates + now heroes, namely Al Stanwood + Ben Scuda. They’re really doing a grand job!!! So, until next time I’ll shove off for a while.
