August 1, 1942 Chairman Bryant College Service Club Bryant College Providence, R. I. My dear Sir, At this time I want to thank you very much for the kind and gracious gift you people have presented me--these Camel cigarettes. It was a most pleasant surprise and is, I assure you, a much appreciated gift among we men in the service of our country. There was a slight delay in receiving your package, due to the lack of proper address in mailing . . . insufficient, when you realize there are 40,000 men here. My correct full address is given you above to guide you in the future. The work you all are doing there at the college reflects the proper morale, which we here would like to have you manifest. The high standards you have set aid us in also raising our standards and make us strive to be worthy of the trust and confidence you place in us. As we in the Quartermaster Corps say, “Keep ‘em Rolling,” may you always keep ‘em happy and satisfied through your kindness and thoughtfulness. The Bryant Alumnus “On the Campus” reached me a short while ago. In it, I note that Nick Coracci is on your committee. Please convey to Nick my personal thanks for his good work at Bryant and extend him my best wishes.
