Standardisation activities report

Project Ô seeks to apply the pillars of integrated water management (IWM) as a model for “water planning” (akin to spatial planning) and to demonstrate low cost, modular technologies that can be easily retrofitted into any water management infrastructure at district/plant level, hence enabling even small communities and SMEs to implement virtuous practices. Technologies and planning instruments complement each other as the first make possible the second and the latter can provide as example or even prescribe the former (and similar technologies allowing virtuous water use practices). UNI's role within the project is to spot existing relevant standard at national, European and International level in order to carry out a first state of the art analysis. Starting from the standards identified, and supported by partners’ expertise, relevant standardization gaps will be recognized and actions will be put in place in order to contribute to possibly act to fill in these gaps or, at least, inform relevant technical committees, at national, European and international level about their existence.
