LOS SABERES ANCESTRALES INDÍGENAS DEL ECUADOR COMO SOLUCIÓN A LOS PROBLEMAS DEL SIGLO XX

In Ecuador there are 14 nationalities and 18 indegenous peoples. They are 7.02% of the total population, according to INEC 2010. Historically, the ancestral knowledge of this population was made invisible by white-mestizo society due to cultural ethnic factors. These knowledge sprout from the heart of the rune (human being), are holistic, generate balance, have an ancient origin and remain valid over time. In this context, Western thought inoculated causes serious emotional, mental and identity problems . On the basis of this reality, the transformation of knowledge through ancestral knowledge is decisive for the new model of life, in which Ecuador has proposed to live: the Sumak Kawsay (Good Living). For Yépez this paradigm allows to connect the Runa Kawsay (Life of the Human Being) with its spiritual, emotional, intellectual and identity knowledge. Under this premise, pachasophy is to protect humanity from hatred, wars and corruption; thus, the Ecuadorian State constitutionally recognizes that the “… legacy of our ancestors and ancestral peoples” is present in the territory of the country. According to Yépez, this process is destined to be a world reference, because it involves, protects and disseminates its scientific and technological potential with identity of belonging. For which it is necessary to return to ancestral knowledge and plan the Pachakutin kawsay (new time), through community-sustainable social and cultural development projects.En Ecuador existen 14 nacionalidades y 18 pueblos indígenas. Históricamente, los saberes ancestrales de esta población fueron invisibilizados por la sociedad blanca-mestiza debido a factores étnicos culturales. Estos saberes brotan del corazón del runa (ser humano), son holísticos, generan equilibrio, tienen origen milenario y se mantienen vigentes en el tiempo. En este contexto, el pensamiento occidental inoculado provoca serios problemas emocionales, mentales e identitarios.Sobre la base de esta realidad, es determinante la transformación del conocimiento por medio de los saberes ancestrales para el nuevo modelo de vida, en el que se ha propuesto vivir Ecuador: el Sumak Kawsay (Buen Vivir). Para Yépez, este paradigma permite conectar el Runa Kawsay (Vida del Ser Humano) con sus saberes espirituales, emocionales, intelectuales e identitarios. Bajo esta premisa, la pachasofía es proteger a la humanidad del odio, guerras y corrupción; es así que, el Estado ecuatoriano constitucionalmente reconoce que en el territorio del país está presente en el “…legado de nuestros antepasados y pueblos ancestrales”. Según Yépez, este proceso está destinado a ser un referente mundial, porque involucra, protege y difunde su potencial científico y tecnológico con identidad de pertenencia. Para lo cual es necesario retornar a los saberes ancestrales y planificar el Pachakutin kawsay (nuevo tiempo), a través de proyectos de desarrollo social y cultural comunitarios-sostenibles. &nbsp
