The study highlights the poetic logos of communion and sorrow fullness that María Zambrano develops in her brief tribute and portrait of César Vallejo entitled “The mystery of the quena”. The analysis considers the main elements pointed out by Zambrano in the understanding of a metaphysics capable of seizing the image of the Peruvian poet as a unique subject.
