Geografia, ale nie tylko… Relacje naukowe między Francją a Polską

International audienceThe scientific collaboration between France and Poland in the sphere of geography begun in the Middle Age. In the article we analyze the conditions and outputs obtained over such a long period of time, until the end of the 20th century. We show that actors of scientific relationships were often motivated by political or diplomatic intentions, for geography in the history was connected to cartography and to military engineering. In the second half of the 20th century, despite the Cold War, the political dimension of these relations did not prevent the continuation of cooperation. The analysis of more scientifically advanced cooperation shows a gen -erational renewal together with a thematic polarisation of research objects in geographyLa coopération scientifique entre la France et la Pologne dans le domaine de la géographie re-monte au Moyen-Âge. L’article en étudie les modalités et les produits tout d’abord dans la longue durée, jusqu’à la fin du XXe siècle. On montre que les acteurs de ces relations scientifiques sont souvent animés d’intentions politiques ou diplomatique, la géographie étant historiquement liée à la cartographie et à l’ingénierie militaire. Dans la seconde moitié du XXe siècle, malgré les difficultés liées à la guerre froide, la dimension politique n’a pas empêché la poursuite de la coopération. L’analyse des coopérations plus proprement scientifique atteste d’un certain renouvellement générationnel et d’une polarisation thématique des objets de recherche en géo-graphie.Współpraca naukowa między Francją a Polską w dziedzinie geografii zaczęła się w średniowieczu. W artykule analizujemy kontekst i wyniki uzyskane w tak długim czasie aż do końca XX w. Pokazujemy, jak w tej sieci naukowych relacji jej aktorzy byli często motywowani politycznie czy dyplomatycznie – geografia w historii jest bowiem powiązana z kartografią i inżynierią militarną. W drugiej połowie XX wieku, mimo trudności związanych z zimną wojną wymiar polityczny nie przeszkodził w kontynuacji współpracy. Analiza naukowej współpracy pokazuje, że generacyjne ożywienie występuje wraz z polaryzacją przedmiotu badań w geografii
