Propuesta de máquina enfardadora para realizar material de construcción a partir de desecho agroindustrial

Due to the climate and energy crisis that the planet is going through, there is currently a trend to build with sustainable materials that are low in toxicity and efficient in terms of thermo-acoustic properties. Straw is one of these materials that comes from the cultivation of cereals and is obtained as waste from this agro-industrial process. In order to use straw in buildings, it is necessary to bale it using mechanical machines that are not always available in rural areas of Ecuador, either due to geographic or economic difficulties. This study proposes the design of a manual machine with which bales of domestically produced rice straw have been made. These bales meet the technical requirements of the American International Standard IRC 2018. This is intended to contribute to the fulfillment of the SDGs and to provide alternatives to cover the housing deficit in the rural sector where cereals such as rice and wheat are produced.En virtud de la crisis climática y energética que atraviesa el planeta, en la actualidad existe la tendencia de construir con materiales sostenibles de baja toxicidad y que sean eficientes en cuanto a propiedades termoacústicas. La paja es uno de estos materiales, proviene del cultivo de cereales y se la obtiene como desecho de este proceso agroindustrial. Para utilizar la paja en la edificación es necesario enfardarla mediante el uso de máquinas mecánicas que no siempre están disponibles en la zona rural del Ecuador, ya sea por dificultades geográficas o por razones económicas. Este estudio propone el diseño de una máquina manual con la cual se han elaborado fardos con paja de arroz de producción nacional. Estos fardos cumplen requerimientos técnicos de la normativa Internacional Americana IRC 2018. Con esto se pretende contribuir al cumplimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo (ODS) y a brindar alternativas para cubrir el déficit de vivienda en el sector rural donde se produce cereales como el arroz y el trigo
