The development of housing in the Pangkalan Kerinci urban area is an effort to meet the demand for a dwelling which is influenced by the increasing number of population density and the economic growth of the community in the Pangkalan Kerinci Urban Area, Pelalawan Regency. In 2010-2020 the population growth rate of the Pangkalan Kerinci Urban Area is 24.19%. With an average annual population growth of 2.41% above the national population growth of 1.31%. It has a population density of 831 people/km2 in 2020. The Pangkalan Kerinci urban area has a residential area of 5,814 hectares.
