Diese Rezension von AIDS and the distribution of crises verortet den von Jih-Fei Cheng, Alexandra Juhasz und Nishant Shahani herausgegebenen Sammelband im Kontext neuerer Arbeiten zur Kulturpolitik von HIV/AIDS. Dabei erweitern wir einige der vorgebrachten Argumente, um dem konzeptionellen Verständnis der „Verteilung von Krisen“ eine neue Richtung zu weisen – auch im Hinblick auf COVID-19. Wir stellen die Hauptargumente des Buchs anhand dreier von uns herausgearbeiteter und zum Teil ineinander verwobener analytischer beziehungsweise strategischer Rahmungen dar: Horten, Sich-Entziehen und Bewältigen.
