Fables en scène (Robert Wilson)

International audienceIn 2004, Robert Wilson played a selection of La Fontaine fables at the Comédie-Française. The present article returns to the choices that preside over its staging and, in particular, the way in which he transposed the theatricality of the apologues. Voices, gestures, movements: borrowing from all the performing arts, Robert Wilson retains and exploits what he interprets in La Fontaine as a world of signs.
