El futuro del litio y su impacto en México

In the present investigation the issue of lithium is addressed, which is causing a boom worldwide to the point of being considered "the new white gold". Topics of general information and the electrical industry are dealt with first, how it is found in the environment, the extraction processes of said mineral and the problems that may exist when using it. In the same way, issues such as the economic impact that it is causing worldwide and what could be done in the country to get the most out of it are addressed, as well as the benefits of its expropriation taking into account that, in neighboring countries of Latin America with this resource, as in the case of Bolivia, Chile or Argentina, there is a great projection of technological and economic development by promoting the exploitation of this resource. For this reason, the cost of extraction of said element and its sale price are compared both in raw presentation and already processed, in order to inform the sustainable future around this element. (Zuñiga, 2022)En la presente investigación se aborda el tema del litio, el cual, está causando un auge a nivel mundial hasta ser considerado “el nuevo oro blanco”. Se tratan temas primeramente de información general, los beneficios que puede ofrecer a la población en general y a la industria eléctrica, como se encuentra en el medio ambiente, los procesos de extracción de dicho mineral y la problemática que puede existir el utilizarlo. De la misma manera se abordan temas como el impacto económico que está provocando a nivel mundial y que se podría hacer en el país para sacar el máximo provecho de este, así como los beneficios de su expropiación tomando en cuenta que, en países vecinos de América Latina con este recurso, como es el caso de Bolivia, Chile o Argentina, existe una gran proyección de desarrollo tecnológico y económico al impulsar la explotación de este recurso. Por ello se compara el costo de extracción de dicho elemento y su precio de venta tanto en presentación en bruto como ya procesado, a manera de informar el futuro sustentable alrededor de este elemento.
