International audienceIn studies pertaining to the coroplastic art of Archaic Cyprus, handmade terracotta figurines usually constitute a special category, excluded from stylistic approaches. However, when modelling techniques are precisely examined, it becomes possible to distinguish specific gestures, specific skills, which are characteristic of distinct workshops. Handmade figurines can also be studied and classified according to stylistic criteria.
