282 p.Este trabajo se centra en el estudio de la distrofia muscular de cinturas tipo 2A (LGMD2A) causada por mutaciones en el gen de la calpaina 3. El trabajo ha sido enfocado en el estudio a nivel celular y molecular de esta enfermedad para un mejor conocimiento del mecanismo fisiopatológico subyacente de la misma.Para ello se han realizado estudios in vitro con células musculares provenientes de músculos de pacientes y controles sanos donde se han realizado diversos experimentos con el objetivo de restaurar la homeostasis de la fibra muscular de los pacientes.Por otro lado, los resultados obtenidos de los estudios in vitro, pusieron el foco en la importancia del gen FRZB en la enfermedad.
