TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype (MZUF: Box 16): Erynnia Desv. / aristata Rnd. / 846. CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Staurochaeta albocingulata (Fallén, 1829) (Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 157). REMARKS: Rondani (1861e: 109) described Erynnia aristata without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length, but had more than one specimen because he collected in two different months: “ raro lecta mensibus Julio et Augusto [collected rarely in July and August]”.
