Leibniz. Dal linguaggio alle lingue

According to the guidelines of the volume, this article provides an overview of G.W. Leibniz's ideas on the philosophy of language as well as on his empirical language researches. It is upheld that Leibniz was able to give a comprehensive view of the language realm, from its historical features (represented in living or dead languages) up to the logical devices underpinning the plan of a characteristica universalis. It is further maintained that, due to his epistemological theory, Leibniz considered all facets of language as susbtancially unitary in nature
