The heritage of Justice in France remains still little-known and under threat. Whereas recent closures of courts have affected housing estates and scattered collections, work has led to the distortion, even the disappearance, of some buildings and their furnishings. New protections under Historical monuments, town planning regulations have however enabled us to accompany these changes. These latest developments are a testament to a new step in the history of Justice and the changes in its practices.
