It will help determine which audio file(s) to download & listen to.In the story collected by Elizabeth Gediman with Kris Thorsness during the Wisconsin Women’s Rowing 50th Anniversary Celebration on Sept. 24, 2022, she shares her experience as a Wisconsin Women rower as part of the oral history collection for the UW Madison Archives, “50 Years of Wisconsin Women’s Rowing: A Look Back.” Kris Thorsness spoke about the camaraderie that was unique to the Wisconsin rowing team, and the admiration for the first few classes, including Carrie Graves (who she later won an Olympic gold medal with) and Peggy McCarthy. Thorsness also spoke about the depth of her gratitude for the team and how it changed the course of her life for the better
