It is plausible to consider that Leonardo painted Beatrice d’Este: sources and old derivations of the tableau – as the drawing which belonged to the collector Sebastiano Resta, today conserved in the Galleria degli Uffizi, and the large engraving, formerly attributed to Zoan Andrea – do not contradict such a hypothesis
