Aquatic ecosystems and wetlands provide many ecosystem services and habitat for a multitude of wildlife. Aquatic surveys provide an insight into the health of an aquatic ecosystem. Our goal was to conduct a multi-week aquatic survey of the Clark’s River at Highway 94 outside of Murray Kentucky. One-hour surveys were conducted over the course of six weeks utilizing electrofishing gear and dip nets. An excess of 1700 fish, 6 Northern Water Snakes, and 3 Crayfish were collected and identified. Many other aquatic species were seen however, not collected or identified. Out of the species that were collected and identified, a few of the species were identified as being an indicator species.
