Ziel der Arbeit war die Identifizierung eines möglichen Risikofaktors für die Erkrankung an der sporadischen Creutzfeldt-Jakob-Krankheit (sCJK) durch die berufliche Tätigkeit als Arzt. Hierzu wurde eine retrospektive Kohortenanalyse mit Daten aus dem Krankenregister des Nationalen Referenzzentrums für die Surveillance von humanen Transmissiblen Spongiformen Enzephalopathien (NRZ TSE) an der Universität Göttingen vom Juni 1993 bis Dezember 2016 durchgeführt.
