Agriculture and fisheries global value chains in ASEAN: a long way to achieve inclusiveness?

PRAKARSA bersama dengan TAFJA (Tax and Fiscal Justice Asia) dalam penelitian Tracking Global Value Chain di Sektor Pertanian dan Perikanan di ASEAN menemukan bahwa partisipasi kelompok marginal di tingkat hulu dalam rantai nilai global sering kali dirugikan. Kelompok-kelompok petani kecil, nelayan, UMKM, buruh dan pekerja perempuan, belum mendapatkan nilai tambah dari rantai nilai global (global value chain). Praktik bisnis yang ada saat ini belum inklusi dan hanya memberikan sedikit nilai dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan taraf hidup mereka. Lalu bagaimana peran pembuat kebijakan dalam menciptakan inklusifitas pada setiap rantai nilai ini? Groups of small farmers, fishermen, MSMEs, laborers and women workers, have not yet received added value from the global value chain. Current business practices are not inclusive and provide little value in improving their welfare and standard of living.
