Variaci\uf3n en el Tiempo de las Propiedades F\uedsicas de un Suelo con Adici\uf3n de Enmiendas Org\ue1nicas

The present study had the objective of evaluating the potential of a biofertilizer and bovine manure as agents to improve soil physical properties. The applied biofertilizer came from residues produced by a Batch biodigestor and the manure came from a dairy. A soil amendment was made in plots of 6 x 3 m with four treatments and three replicates. The treatments, in a volumetric ratio, were: control without amendment; soil:biofertilizer mixture on a 3:1 ratio. Soil:biofertilizer mixture on a 1:1 ratio; soil:manure mixture on a 1:1 ratio. In the second year, the plots were divided in two, leaving subplots of 6 x 1.5 m, one of which had a second amendment with the same organic material and the same ratio. The effects of the treatments were evaluated at one month, one year and two years after the first application. The soil parameters evaluated were: bulk density, specific weight, water retention, water infiltration rate and aggregate stability. A cactus pear (Opuntia ficus - indica (L.) Mill.) plantation was established as a test plant. The application of organic material in great volume provoked a decrease on soil bulk density in the short run; consequently, total porosity increased, particularly the coarse pores (reflected in the pF curve). The specific weight and available water were not different between treatments, while the water infiltration rate increased with amendments. There was an increase in the aggregate stability in the short term, but with successive applications the effect disappeared. Finally, the biofertilizer applications promoted cactus growth of shoots and production of DM.La presente investigaci\uf3n tuvo como objetivo evaluar la potencialidad del bioabono y el esti\ue9rcol de bovino como agente mejorador de las propiedades f\uedsicas del suelo. El bioabono aplicado provino de un biodigestor tipo Batch, mientras que el esti\ue9rcol provino de una lecher\ueda. El acondicionamiento del suelo fue realizado en parcelas de 6 x 3 m, con 4 tratamientos y 3 repeticiones. Los tratamientos, en mezcla volum\ue9trica, fueron: testigo sin acondicionar, mezcla de suelo:bioabono en relaci\uf3n 3:1, mezcla suelo:bioabono en relaci\uf3n 1:1 y mezcla suelo:esti\ue9rcol en relaci\uf3n 1:1. En el segundo a\uf1o, las parcelas fueron divididas en dos, generando subparcelas de 6 x 1,5 m, una de las cuales tuvo un segundo acondicionamiento con el mismo material y proporci\uf3n. Las evaluaciones se realizaron un mes, un a\uf1o y dos a\uf1os despu\ue9s de la primera aplicaci\uf3n org\ue1nica. Las propiedades de suelo evaluadas fueron: densidad aparente, densidad real, retenci\uf3n de agua, velocidad de infiltraci\uf3n y estabilidad de agregados. Se estableci\uf3 un cultivo de tuna (Opuntia ficus - indica (L.) Mill.) como planta indicadora. Las aplicaciones de materia org\ue1nica en grandes vol\ufamenes provocaron en el corto plazo una disminuci\uf3n de la densidad aparente; consecuentemente, aument\uf3 la porosidad total, especialmente los poros gruesos (reflejados en la curva pF). La densidad real y el agua aprovechable no presentaron diferencias entre tratamientos, mientras que la infiltraci\uf3n de agua aument\uf3 con la aplicaci\uf3n de enmiendas. Hubo un incremento de la estabilidad de agregados en el corto plazo, pero con aplicaciones sucesivas el efecto desapareci\uf3.
