The relationship between justice and eternal condemnation in The City of God of Saint Augustine

Justice has always been understood as the virtue that gives each one what is due, and Augustine completed his sense including God in this operation, demonstrating that it is also necessary to give to God what belongs to God. But God’s righteousness will be fulfilled, so eternal condemnation and torture will await those who did not receive Christ in the life, lives for himself, not for God, did not have his soul reborn, therefore he is the target of condemnation, and has not moved from the City of Men to the City of God. Esse se torna capaz de fazer o bem por meio da graça divina, vive para Deus, não mais para si, tem a alma ressuscitada na primeira ressurreição, passa a ser cidadão da Cidade de Deus, e viverá para sempre em bem aventurança eterna, pois não será condenado, quando ocorrer o Juízo Final. Mas a justiça de Deus será cumprida, assim a condenação e o suplício eternos aguardarão aquele que não recebeu a Cristo nessa vida, vive para si, não para Deus, não teve a alma renascida, por conseguinte é alvo da condenação, e não se mudou da Cidade dos Homens para a Cidade de Deus. No Juízo Final, os corpos de ambos, fiéis e infiéis, serão ressuscitados, onde os justos receberão a vida eterna, e os injustos receberão a condenação eterna
