POLA KOMUNIKASI DAN BENTUK RELASI SOSIAL ANTARA PENGASUH DENGAN KLIEN LANSIA DI RUMAH ASUH GRIYA ASIH LAWANG, KECAMATAN MALANG

Commonproblems that are often experienced by the elderly are the decline and changes in physical, psychological, social and even economic. This can have an impact on elderly mental health disorders such as experiencing anxiety or depressive symptoms. The occurrence of anxiety and depression is often due to the absence of social support from environment and family. Communication is very important in building social relationships in nursing homes to provide services to the elderly. This studi discusses communication patterns and forms of social relations that occur between caregivers and the elderly at the home Griya Asih Lawang Child and Elderly Foster (RAAL), Malang Regency. The subject in this study were the caregivers who worked at RAAL Griya Asih Lawang. In data collection researchers use interview, observation and documentation techniques. By using the Miles and Huberman model data analisis techniques, there are three activities, namely, data reduction, data presentation anda drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the validity of data used is source tringulation. The results of the research conducted are explaining that te communication patterns used by caregives to the elderly are using primary communication patterns and circular communication patterns. Meanwhile, the form of social relations that are established between caregivers and the elderly is a form of associative social relations, with the form of accommodation and assimilation relationships
