Hubungan Pola Komunikasi Keluarga dengan Psychological Well-being pada Lansia

Increasing age, there are several problems in the elderly, including the infunction of organs in the body, decrease in the level of health, and also disturbances in psychological balance. Elderly needs more attention and support from the environment and also their family. The family becomes the closest person to interact with them so that communication in the family can perfectly affect their psychological condition. This study aims to determine the relationship between family communication paterns with psychological well-being in the elderly at Bendo Village, Nogosari, Boyolali Regency. This research is quantitative research using correlational design. The population in this study was the elderly at Bendo Village, Nogosari, Boyolali Regency. The sample of this study was 84 respondents who were determined using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The instrument of this research is a questionnaire, and the data analysis used is the Spearman Rank (RHO) correlation test. The results showed that the p-value was 0.001 with a significance value 0.812 so that H0 was rejected. The other factors that affect to psychological well-being level are demographics, health factor, religiusity, social support, emotional factor, and personality. It conclude that there is a greatly strong relationship between the family communication patterns and the elderly psychological well-being
