AISLAMIENTO E IDENTIFICACIÓN DE HONGOS CON CAPACIDAD ENTOMOPATÓGENA EN EL CULTIVO DE YUCA CONTRA EL CHINCHE Cyrtomenus bergi, FROESCHNER (CYDNIDAE) EN LAS PROVINCIAS DE COCLÉ Y HERRERA

Cyrtomenus bergi is the causal agent of the lesion in cassava, where this subterranean pest attacks through its stylet, piercing the cuticle and root bark. Dark spots are observed around the tuber, which is indicative that the bug fed on that root. These spots are not visible to the naked eye, but until the cassava is harvested, since this plague is very common to observe in the rainy season, since the humidity attracts them to the surface, and it is common to find them on the leaves and stem; while in the dry season it is more difficult to locate it. To locate fungi with possible entomopathogenic capacity that could control the smallpox bug, bioprospecting of native fungi from both provinces was carried out in cassava soils in the provinces of Herrera (Ocú) and Coclé (Antón). localities to minimize the use of pesticides. In the bioprospecting, serial dilutions of (10-1 to 10-7) were made to isolate the greatest possible number of fungi, obtaining mainly the genera Aspergillus sp., Penicillium sp. and Fusarium sp. as the most prevalent, in addition the dilutions that were considered were from10-5 to 10-7. At the same time, biochemical tests of enzymatic activity (dehydrogenase and microbial respiration) were carried out to determine the biological activity in the soil and to guide our bioprospecting strategy, elucidating a greater microbial activity in the Coclé farm. According to the analyzes obtained of the biological activity against the C. bergi bug, a greater biological activity was obtained in the CH5 sample (Aspergillus sp.).       Cyrtomenus bergi es el agente causal de la lesión en la yuca, en donde está plaga subterránea ataca por medio de su estilete,    perfora la cutícula y corteza de la raíz. Se observan manchas oscuras alrededor del tubérculo, lo que es indicativo que el chinche se alimentó de esa raíz. Estas manchas no se perciben a simple vista, sino hasta que se cosecha la yuca, ya que esta plaga es muy común observarla en la lluviosa, pues la humedad la atrae hasta la superficie, y es común encontrarla en las hojas y en el tallo; mientras que en la estación seca es más difícil localizarle. Con el propósito de localizar hongos con posible capacidad entomopatógena que pudieran controlar al chinche de la viruela, en los suelos de cultivo de yuca en las provincias de Herrera (Ocú) y Coclé (Antón), se llevaron a cabo bioprospecciones de hongos nativos de ambas localidades en un intento de minimizar el uso de plaguicidas. En la bioprospección se realizaron diluciones seriadas de (10-1 a la 10-7) para aislar la mayor cantidad posible de hongos, lográndose obtener principalmente los géneros Aspergillus sp., Penicillium sp. y Fusarium sp. como los más prevalentes, además las diluciones que se tomaron en cuenta fueron de 10-5 hasta la 10-7.  Paralelamente, se realizaron pruebas bioquímicas de actividad enzimática (deshidrogenasa y respiración microbiana) para determinar la actividad biológica en el suelo y poder orientar nuestra estrategia de bioprospección; elucidándose una mayor actividad microbiana en la finca de Coclé. De acuerdo con los análisis obtenidos de la actividad biológica contra el chinche C. bergi se obtuvo una mayor actividad biológica en la muestra CH5 (Aspergillus sp.)
