The Relationship between Social Support and Coping Stress in Hemodialysis Patients at Rasyida Hospital, Medan Special Kidney

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan Dukungan sosial dengan Coping Stress pada pasien hemodialisa di RS Khusus Ginjal Rasyida Medan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien Hemodialisa di RS Khusus Ginjal Rasyida Medan yang berjumlah 300 orang. Untuk menentukan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, yang dimana menggunakan krakteristik sehingga mencapai sampel sebanyak 50 orang. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala Dukungan sosial dan Coping stress. Uji validitas menggunakan uji validitas isi yang dimana diperoleh koefisien butir skala dukungan Sosial yang valid bergerak dari rbt = 0,304 hingga rbt = 0,645 dan skala interaksi sosial bergerak dari rbt = 0,301 hingga rbt = 0,547 dengan taraf signifikan atau p> 0,300. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan Alpha Cronbach yang menghasilkan indeks reliabilitas sebesar 0,923 untuk skala Dukungan sosial dan 0,906 untuk skala Coping stress. Uji korelasi digunakan untuk menentukan hubungan antara kedua variabel yaitu Dukungan Sosial dan Coping stress diperoleh melalui perhitungan dengan korelasi Product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara Dukungan Sosial dengan Coping stress pada pasien hemodialisa di RS Khusus Ginjal Rasyida Medan. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil perhitungan korelasi r product moment, dimana dimana rxy= 0,515 dengan signifikan p= 0,05 artinya hipotesis yang di ajukan semakin positif Dukungan Sosial maka akan semakin baik Coping stress dan sebaliknya semakin negatif Dukungan sosial maka akan semakin buruk Coping stress dinyatakan diterima. Adapun sumbangan efektif dari Dukungan sosial mempengaruhi Coping stress sebesar 26,5%.This study aims to look at the relationship of social support with coping stress in hemodialysis patients at the khusus Ginjal Rasyida Hospital in Medan. The research approach used is a quantitative approach to the type of correlation research. The population in this study were Hemodialysis patients in Medan khusus Ginjal Rasyida Hospital, amounting to 300 people. To determine the number of samples in this study using a purposive sampling technique, which uses characteristics to reach a sample of 50 people. Data retrieval is done using the scale of social support and stress coping. Validity test uses content validity test obtained collecting valid Social support scale items moving from rbt = 0.304 to rbt = 0.645 and moving social scale from rbt = 0.301 up rbt = 0.547 with a significant level or p> 0.300. The reliability test uses Cronbach's Alpha which produces a reliability index of 0.923 for the social support scale and 0.906 for the scale Coping stress. Correlation test is used to determine the relationship between the two variables namely Social Support and Coping stress obtained through calculations with Product moment correlation. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between Social Support and Coping stress in hemodialysis patients at khusus Ginjal Rasyida Hospital in Medan. This is based on the results of the calculation of the correlation r product moment, where rxy = 0.515 with a significant p = 0.05 means that the hypothesis proposed the more positive Social Support, the better Coping stress and vice versa the more negative Social support the worse Coping stress will be expressed be accepted. The effective contribution of social support affects Coping stress by 26.5%.
