116 HalamanThis study to determine the resistance of red upland rice varieties to blast disease ( Pyricularia grisea ) and intensity attack on 4 varieties of brown rice. The design used was Factorial RAK which consisted of 2 treatment factors, namely (1) Planting distance (J) consisted of 3 levels, J1 = 25 × 20 cm, J2 = 25 × 30 cm, J3 = 25 × 40 cm. (2) Varieties of red rice (V) consisted of 4 levels of treatment V1 = MSP 17, V2 = Red Sigambiri, V3 = Silver Overlay, V4 = Kambiri Lumat. The results of this study showed that plant spacing had very significant effect on tiller numbers, leaf blast disease and grain wight per sample.
