During the EAAM Annual meeting in Portugal in 2019, we presented a case report on a South American sea lion (Otaria flavescens) that suffered from a Hepatocellular carcinoma with metastases in the lungs. Further research on the case has demonstrated that metastases were present also in the spleen and lymph nodes. Besides, the histopathological examination of the parathyroid revealed the presence of proliferative neoplastic phenomena that could represent the primitive site of the development of the adenocarcinoma of which metastases were observed in the liver and lymph nodes.
