Leonardo Polo’s ethical reflection stems directly from his “transcendental anthropology”, based on those that he defines as “personal transcendentals” : co-existence, intellection, freedom and love as giving. The grafting point of anthropology with ethics is the category of growth without limit (crecimiento irrestricto), for which the human being, from the spiritual point of view, is an open system, in constant development. Human life necessarily takes place in the temporal dimension : ethics, presenting an ideal of perfection to aim for, represents the means that man has to dominate time and not be enslaved by it
