ANALISIS HEGEMONI KEKUASAAN DALAM NOVEL PASAR KARYA KUNTOWIJOYO

The story about a certain area that still strongly upholds cultural values is the reason for the close relationship of hegemony with literary works, especially novels. The Pasar Novel by Kuntowijoyo is a literary work that represents this hegemony. It is characterized by a held value. Therefore, this research aims; describe the forms and functions of the hegemony of power, as well as explain the mandate contained in the novel Pasar by Kuntowijoyo. This research uses a qualitative research type with a sociological approach to literature. The data of this research is sourced from the novel Pasar by Kuntowijoyo, which is a story in the form of sentences, phrases, words, and expressions regarding the hegemony of power. Then, the data is analyzed by comparing, categorizing, presenting, and making meanings and conclusions. The results of this study conclude that the form of hegemony of power in the novel Pasar by Kuntowijoyo is hegemony in the form of coercion, law, and experts. The forms of hegemony are carried out on the basis of the situation that makes him powerful with these forms. Meanwhile, the function of power hegemony in this novel is used to do power domination. Finally, the message contained in the novel is the value of honesty, responsibility, patience, and loyalty
