The ecstasy of truth: creative tools in Werner Herzog's documentary works based on selected examples

Autorka, analizując wybrane pozycje z filmografii Herzoga bada główne motywy jego twórczości i na ich podstawie próbuje zdefiniować pojęcie ekstatycznej prawdy, którym posługuje się reżyser. Efektem badań jest powiązanie twórczości Herzoga z Heideggerowskim podejściem do prawdy.The subject of the paper is the creative tools used by Werner Herzog in his documentary work and the director's approach to the issue of truth. The author, analyzing selected items from Herzog's filmography, examines the main motifs of his work and, based on them, tries to define the concept of ecstatic truth used by the director. The result of the research is the connection of Herzog's work with the Heideggerian approach to truth
